Vintage Wallpaper with Rhinestone Bling

Well, I did it again.  I took THIS card from Sharon Field, and blinged it up a bit.  I just love Sharon's card and could not wait to CASE it. These new colours really lend themselves to CAS (clean and simple) cards, and with the new Basic Rhinestones and Basic Pearls it is so easy to take a really simple card, and step it up just a tiny bit.  Here is my version of this card.....
I coloured the Whisper White Organza ribbon with the Marina Mist Stampin' Write Marker (contact me if you have not ordered your New Colours and In Colours Stampin' Write Marker Kits - some smokin' deals on these).  I wrapped a strip of it around the Marina Mist and Whisper White layers, then using a bow maker helper made out of cardboard, I tied the bow around the strip already on the card.  It was a bit finicky but turned out not too bad.  For my embellies I just added 9 small clear rhinestones, and one medium one to various places on the Vintage Wallpaper embossed area.  The embossing only goes part way down the Whisper White cardstock (to within 1 inch of the bottom) so there is room to stamp the sentiment on it.

Here's the recipe if you want it:
Whisper White card base 5 1/2 x 4
Marina Mist layer 3 5/8 x 4 7/8
Whisper White layer 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 this layer is embossed with Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and punched along the bottom with the Eyelette Border punch
Whisper White Organza Ribbon 6" to wrap around, and 9" to tie the bow - this ribbon's edges were coloured with the Marina Mist marker
9 small and 1 medium Basic Rhinestones placed on top of the embossing

A very quick, easy, demonstratable card that shows how versatile our embossing folders, ribbons and rhinestones are.
Thanks for visiting today..........  Glenda Mollet

Absolutely gorgeous Glenda. I love white cards, and this embossing folder is a must; wish I'd win. The t blue and the litte jewels add just a delicate touch. Very sweet.

Hi Glenda, this card is so elegant. I really like it. Great idea putting the rhinestones on the embossed paper. I'll have to try it sometime. Blessings to you, Rea
