Happy Easter Basket

I created this cute little Easter Basket using THIS tutorial by Lena Katrine. It uses Designer Paper to create the box, then cardstock to add the embellishments and the handle. Here' s my version of this awesome basket.......
A close up of the Bunny........

And one of the handle detail............
The theme for my classes next month is going to be Easter. My Monthly Punchie class has a cute little Easter Box using a punched Bunny. So I thought I would add the same Bunny onto this basket, and make a class out of it as well. I made the main basket out of Shades Of Spring DSP (sponged first with Pretty In Pink ink). Around the top of the basket I put a piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock, punched with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and sponged in Regal Rose. Over top of that I put some Pretty In Pink Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. The Handle is Whisper White cardstock punched on both sides with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. Then I used the new Small Heart Punch and punched alternating hearts all around the handle. The handle is sponged in Pretty In Pink as well, and has a strip of Regal Rose cardstock under it so it shows through the hearts. Then I punched some hearts out using the smallest heart on the Heart To Heart punch, sponged them with Pretty In Pink and glued them inside the alternating hearts on the handle. The handle is attached to the basket first with some strong tape, then I put two of the new Pretty In Pink Epoxy Brads through the basket and handle. I cut a strip of Whisper White cardstock and punched it with the Pinking Heart Border Punch and put it at the top inside the basket to cover the back side of the brads. The Bunny punchie is popped up on a Whisper White (sponged with Pretty In Pink) and Regal Rose (sponged with Regal Rose) nestability. I cut out two Decorative Accent #2 die cuts with the Big Shot and put them together to resemble a heart frame and put them in behind the Bunny detail. I punched 4 MS branches from Old Olive cardstock and put them between the accent die cuts and the Regal Rose nestability for some contrast. I punched 2 hearts from Regal Rose using the new Small Heart punch, and two in Whisper White from the smallest heart on the Heart To Heart punch, layered them and put them on the Bunny's right ear! Then I took my Stickles and added them to the scalloped nestie, the hearts on the ears, on the accent dies, on each of the hearts on the handle, and rubbed some inside his ears. There is a Bunny detail on both sides of the basket.
I think this basket tutorial is awesome and so easy to do, give it a try! Now I need to create one in blue for our little Pumpkinator, James! So much fun, and I did it over a month in advance, how awesome is that!!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit, ........... Glenda Mollet
