Magnolia Card - Edwin With Egg Basket

I coloured this image a while ago, but have just gotten around to putting it on a card.  This card was hard won, let me tell you.  It started out to be something completely different than this.  The only thing was the colours as I already had the image coloured and the DSP chosen.  After 3 incarnations, this is the end result  ... ... ...
I used some retired DSP in Baja Breeze and some new Stampin' Up! colours - Cajun Craze and Early Espresso.  The image is a Magnolia Sweden image called Edwin With Egg Basket from the 2010 Hoppy Easter Collection.  I stamped him in Stampin' Up! Basic Black on Stampin' Up! Watercolour Paper.  Then I coloured him using Stampin' Write Markers:
Hair:  Chocolate Chip
Skin:  Blush Blossom
Shirt:  Baja Breeze
Pants:  Cajun Craze, with a bit of Chocolate Chip around the middle
Basket:  So Saffron, Cajun Craze and Chocolate Chip
Boots:  Chocolate Chip
I also used Stampin' Up! punches, ribbon Stamps and Basic Pearls.  I just realized I have him floating in mid air, so will have to go fix that by putting some colour around him.  I will post a revised picture when I get it finished.
Here is an upclose picture of the coloured image ... ... ...
Ok another picture for you today.  I am in Tofino, BC on the westcoast of Vancouver Island.  The weather here has been simply amazing.  Here is a picture from last night's sunset.......
and one from today ... ... ...
Bye for now, I know it is quite long some times, between posts, but when I don't post, I am busy getting ready for classes, travelling, or spending time with our special Grandson, James.

  2. Hi Glenda, Wow! Great card of Edwin, love those Magnolia images . You did a great job coloring him with the markers, did you use the blending pen with them? Great pics too, how beautiful. Rea
