I love having the kick in the butt each month to create a Christmas card. This is only the third hop I have participated in, but at least now I have 3 Christmas cards done for December. Maybe that is long enough for me to be able to adopt them out to special people by then, I have issues you see!!!
Here is my card............
I used some retired designer paper - Le Jardin. It has River Rock and Always Artichoke in it and I love how they co-ordinate with Cherry Cobbler. These will be fabulous colours at Christmas, I can't wait!. I used a layout from the latest MagnoliaINK magazine - page 52 by Claudia. These were layered onto the Cherry Cobbler with Basic Black mats. There is a strip of Cherry Cobbler I punched on both sides with a MS punch, then put some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon on it, but you can't see it very well. Sparkling Tilda was stamped on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then I coloured them with Copic Markers (I will list them all at the end of the post). I punched out a scallop circle of Whisper White cardstock and hand wrote the sentiment on it using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker. This whole section is popped up using Dimensionals and layed on slightly crooked. The Poinsettia stamp was stamped on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock 8 times plus once more for the inside. I coloured these in Copics as well. Two of them I actually cut out the top most petals and layered them on top of other coloured images. These were attached to the card and some branches and leaves from the XL 2 Step Bird Punch in Whisper White and Always Artichoke were added. The centres of the flowers were coloured in yellows then I added some Diamon Stickles over top. The last leaf of each branch had a clear rhinestone added to it. Then I added some deep red half-back pearls to the corners of the Tilda image and all around the sentiment piece. The bow on the envelope, Tilda's Wings and her halo have Diamond Stickles as well. Here is an up close picture of Tilda and the Envelope.............
