Yesterday was the Monthly Stamping Club stamping day. Once a month I get to stamp with a wonderful group of Ladies. They come and make 3 projects, and have some treats, coffee and tea. Each member has a minimum order they must place to continue in the club, and once during the rotation every stamper gets to be the Monthly Hostess!
I will have another club starting in September. If you are interested, please EMAIL ME. You can live locally and join us in person, or you can live elsewhere in Canada, and be a "virtual" member. I have some virtual members and it works out great! If you have any questions, please ask me any time.
This is one of the three projects we made yesterday. Each month we do 2 techniques and 1 card using designer series paper. This card was inspired by Linda Parker.
I had not done this "Chalky Embossed Flowers" technique before, and I love it! It is so easy, and the flowers have such an impact.
We did the one above at our stamping day, and I also did the one below to show how you can colour the leaves (as above) or the flowers (as below) or you can colour everything.
I did find that you have to use the Dark version of the Stampin' Blends for the colour to show up. I used Dark Old Olive for the leaves and Dark Cherry Cobbler for the flowers.
1. Stamp images in VersaMark and emboss with Gold Embossing Powder
2. Using Whisper White Craft Ink reinker and an aqua pen to colour the images
3. Allow the ink to dry completely (you can gently use your heat tool to do this)
4. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends as you like
I added some White Perfect Accents to the cards to add some contrast without adding more colour. I am truly sad that these embellishments are retiring as of May 31, 2018!
