Dragonfly Dreams Card Share

Hello Friends!

Each month I offer an Introduction to Stamping class to potential new stampers.  This class is to give them a chance to stamp a card and get their hands inky.  I encourage current customers to bring new to me customers to my studio and make a card along with them.  This class is free and so much fun!

Then I run a series of 3 Stamping 101 classes so stampers can learn the basics of creating a card.  The first class is all about paper trimmers, card layers, and cutting cardstock.  In the second class we go over different types of inks and when to use them, as well as the different adhesives.  The third class is to introduce the first technique I learned way back when, Heat Embossing, and we tie some bows.  Each class teaches the new stampers how to design and cut the cardstock for a card, then we complete a card using the layers they cut out.

In the first class this month, we made a card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set with the "blotches" from the Swirly Bird stamp set.  The dragonfly is stamped in Memento ink then coloured in with the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker.  Then we applied Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush over the top.

Card making can be a bit intimidating at first, so the cards in the series are basic ones that help to make the new stamper comfortable with stamping.  You can find a complete list of supplies below my signature (click on any of the images to go to my online store).

If you would like to join us for an Introduction class or for the Stamping 101 series, EMAIL ME and we can make the arrangements. If you don't live locally, we can figure that out too and begin you on your card making journey.

 Have a Crafty Day!
