The new Shimmery White Embossing Paste by Stampin' Up! is so rich and creamy and easy to use. It has a wonderful shimmer to it, and when it is dry, you can really see the shimmer and glimmer on your project.
I recently made a bunch of Thank You cards using the Daisy Delight Bundle and Fresh Florals designer paper stack (12 x 12). Then I added some Shimmery White Embossing Paste to the background to add some texture without colour.
Here's the card I made ....
To Make the background I simply took one of the Palette Knives (I used the narrow one) and dabbed the embossing paste on the whisper white layer. I did this after I stamped the sentiment so it did not interfere with getting a good stamped image.
The daisy is stamped twice on whisper white cardstock with Powder Pink classic ink, then punched out using the Daisy punch. I put a 1/2" punched circle using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper in the middle of the daisy. The sentiment, also from the Daisy Delight stamp set, is stamped in Berry Burst. Using the Fresh Florals designer paper for the background made these cards easy and quick to whip up.
I recently heard from several of my customers that they have a LOT of designer paper and they don't use what they have. My suggestion to them is JUST CUT IT AND USE IT! I also used to be guilty of paper hoarding. It took some convincing for me to cut and use the papers, but I am so happy to announce that I am almost over that fear .... almost, but not quite. I am using a lot more than I used to, but still have to talk myself into using my favourites! LOL
