Dragonfly Thank You Card Share

Hello Friends!
Well 2017 is almost history, and 2018 is right around the corner.  Someone once told me:
            Yesterday is history
            Tomorrow is a mystery
            Today is a gift, that's why it's call the Present

I hope 2017 is leaving you with some wonderful memories.  I know we sure had some, and are ready to make some new memories and have new adventures in 2018.  I wish nothing but health and happiness for you and your families.

Now onto the card share for today.

I make Thank You and Welcome cards for my sister's Veterinary business in Sidney, BC.  (CLICK HERE if you are looking for a great Veterinarian in the area.)  Right in the middle of doing Christmas cards for classes etc, she called for some Thank You cards.  I was so excited to make a non-Christmas card!  I pulled out the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and matching Detailed Dragonfly dies.  I was inspired by a card I found on pinterest, sometimes the clean and simple is the best!

The base is Soft Sky, then I cut out a whisper white piece using the largest of the Stitched Shapes square dies.  That was stamped with an image from the stamp set using soft sky ink.  The dragonfly was stamped in memento ink on a separate piece of whisper white and I coloured it with Stampin' Blends - Light and Dark Pool Party and Light Daffodil Delight, then I went over the wings with the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.  The body was glued on flat and I popped the wings up on some mini dimensionals.  The white stitched square piece is also popped up on mini dimensionals.  The Thank You is from the Daisy Delight stamp set.  I love how big and bold it is.

I will be sharing some Christmas cards I received from family and friends over the next few days.  We are having "individual sleep overs" with our local grandchildren tonight and Monday night.  They usually come over together, but this time they want to be alone with us.  I can't wait!
