Weekly Deals, my Year End Sale and one last handmade Christmas card share

Hello everyone!  I hope you had as wonderful of a Christmas as we did.  The weather cooperated so we could do our trip to visit my hubby's Mom and family, which made it a super duper day.

Today I have one last hand made Christmas card that we received to share with you, but first, here are this week's Weekly Deals from Stampin' Up!

Another wonderful handmade card.  Thanks Carla!  We received 20 hand made cards this year, and only 12 bought ones.

Have a super Happy New Year and I hope you get time to be crafty in the next couple of days.  I am busy creating in my craft room with all the new goodies from the upcoming Occasions 2016 catalogue and Sale-A-Bration brochure.

I am having a New Catalogue Tea Party on Mon Jan 4th from 1 to 5 pm.  If you are in our area, and don't already have a demonstrator, please stop by and pick up your own copies.  There will be refreshments, goodies and maybe a make 'n take as well.  EMAIL ME for directions!

Merry Christmas everyone! Handmade Christmas Cards Day 5

To everyone who celebrates Christmas - Merry Christmas!
For those who have other celebrations at this time - Season's Greetings!

Today's shares are more Christmas cards I received from friends and family this year.

Our daughter-in-law, Heather, created this wonderful card.  Our son, Phil and Heather and their wonderful boys live in the same town as we do.  We get to have lots of Grandson time and love and cherish every second of it.  Our other son, Charlie and his wife Jess and their special amazing son, live 11 hours away from us.  We don't get to see them any where near enough. But the time we do get to spend with them is that much more special and amazing.

Wendy H, the creator of this next card, and I have been friends since grade 9 (well that was only a couple of years ago, right Wendy?).  She makes great cards!!!!

Holly J made this next card.  Holly has also been making cards for a while and her creativity while managing to work full time and look after two fur babies, is amazing.

Each year I love making 3D items to give treats to stampers, club members and family.  This year my friend and fellow demo, Barb T, made Snowman Hats as pillow gifts for our trip to Edmonton in November for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local event.  Her's had a LOT of chocolate inside it and was much bigger.  I decided to make 2 different sizes.  The first one I created was for my club members and had 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside it.  Then I made them for the seniors group I get together with every Wednesday morning to make cards, but made them smaller so they only hold one Ferrero Rocher chocolate.  We are getting together with my Husband's famiily for Christmas dinner this year.  It will be the first time in a very long time that all 4 siblings have been together with Mom in a really long time.  I decided to make the small ones as table favours.  There will be 10 of us together if the weather cooperates!

Happy Crafting,

Handmade Christmas Cards Dauy 4

I love how you can see the self confidence and creativity blossom in a new stamper.  I also love to see the seasoned stamper continuing to love making cards.  It amazes me with all the greeting cards out there in the world, stampers continue to make new, amazing cards every day!

Here are the next 4 handmade Christmas cards I have to share with you.

Brenda H is another very new stamper who has blossomed out and gained so much confidence in her creations.

Candy M, who created this next card, is another amazing artist that I am happy to have in my life.  She moved away a few years ago, but we still keep in touch and I think of her often. This card is deceptively simple and the silver foil paper makes it amazing.

Another friend I met through Stampin' Up! and got to know her better when Hubby and I did some "camping" in her neck of the woods.  Margaret P and I got together a couple of times while I was visiting her town, and we had craft time together.  Another amazing and talented friend.

The final card for today was created and sent to me by one of my downline and great friends, Rhea L.  Rhea and I travelled together to Edmonton for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Event in November.  We had an amazing time with the other 6 people we travelled with and everyone we met and caught up with there.

I think I will add one of my Christmas cards to this post.  This is the card I created, and kept secret, and sent out this year. I know I either cased it or was inspired by a card on Pinterest, but I completely forgot to write the originator's name down.  If this was your original card, please EMAIL me and I will give you proper credit.

I will miss this stamp set - Wonderlands - when it retires on January 5, 2016.  It is a wonderful stamp set and goes with any occasion and can be masculine or feminine as well.  I hope you were able to get this set and make it your own as I have.  This set I will not be getting rid of when it retires!

Handmade Christmas Cards Day 3

Welcome to day 3 where I am sharing amazing handmade Christmas cards from amazing people in my life.

This first card for today is made by Janet L who has been making cards for quite a long time now.  She is very talented and I love her work, and of course the bling!!!

Now on to a card made by Valerie B who chose to make a step card with lots of gold.

Fran L, who is the creator of this next card, has been making cards for about 40 years.  Her eye for detail is amazing and I would love to see her craft room!!

Barb W made this card and did a lot of fussy cutting as she did not own the matching dies when she created this card.  Barb is very new to card making and stamping and has involved her two daughters as well.

I often hear "I don't want to send a card to you because mine are not as good as yours"!!!  Everyone starts out somewhere (yes even me and my cards back then were not very good), but each card has been made with love and you can see the creators heart in every layer.  I may share with you the very first card I have a picture of, ya it's not so nice!

Handmade Christmas Cards Day 2

I am back again with 4 more Christmas cards I have been lucky enough to receive from some very special people in my life.

When I started this journey with Stampin' Up! I sure did not know how it would impact my life in so many ways.

I used to be VERY introverted and being in crowds of 4 or more people was very intimidating to me.  I would just sit there and watch and not say anything.  Well, now I find crowds easier - which was bound to happen when I started going to the Stampin' Up! Convention each year.  One year there were 6500 of us at Convention in Salt Lake City. It was truly amazing to be there.  Sometimes I just sit and watch now as well, but I find I get to learn so much more from the people around me by trying to be a good listener.  Now it is on purpose tho, not a thing i need to do to survive until I get home.

I also used to have everything my way.  Being a type A personality with OCD tendencies was my whole life.  We often laugh at how the towels, sheets and blankets had to be folded a certain way or I redid them before putting them in the linen closet.  Well, now I really don't card because doing all that refolding takes time out of my craft room!  I just "throw" things into the linen closet now and hope for the best!

Over the past 8.5 years I have met some wonderful people through my obsession and I am proud to call them friends.  I am sharing some of their cards with you all this week, so come by each day for more amazing cards.

This card is made by Jean B. I love bling and Jean has used a lot of it on this card.

Marilyn H sent me this lovely gold themed card.

Donna K sent me this silver and blue ultra blingy card.

Linda K loves to colour and this card shows it and showcases how talented she is!

Thanks so much for visinting and have a crafty day!

Handmade Christmas cards Day 1

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a fantastic Christmas Season.  Merry Christmas to you and yours from me and mine.

Over the next few blog posts I am going to share some amazing Christmas cards I received from some special people in my life.  I treasure all the cards I receive, even the bought ones.  It means someone has taken time out of their life to think of my family and I.  I don't hoard a lot of things, but cards we have received are the one thing I hoard and won't ever let go of.

Here are the first 4 cards I have to share with you ....

The first one is by Trish M who is a lover of all things snowman.

This card is by Shirley M love all the bubbles!

And here is Sheilean G's card.  You can't see it, but Sheilean shimmer spritzes everything and this card's background is very blingy!

The final card for today is by Marj D. I love how she blinged up the main image by using VersaMark ink and Irridescent Ice embossing powder!

That's it for today.  I hope you get a chance to be crafty!
