February Stamp-A-Stack class cards #4

The final card for my February Sheltering Tree Stamp-A-Stack class is Winter.  I added a bit of bling to make it pop.  This is definitely one of my favourite stamp sets, right up there with Lovely As A Tree!

Here's Winter for you ....

Light and fluffy was the theme for this card and it was achieved by using Soft Sky Classic Pad for the snowflakes and the snow.  In the snow I stamped twice before reinking the stamp to get the two levels of ink effect.  And you can never have enough bling, right????

Looks like I made my second Christmas card of the year!  I challenged myself to make a Christmas card a month all year long so when September comes and it's time to start Christmas card classes, I will already have some made and available.These cards were all cased from Patty Bennett. Thanks, Patty!

February Stamp-A-Stack class cards #3

The third card in my Sheltering Tree series for the February Stamp-A-Stack class is Fall (or Autumn if you prefer) ......

Last fall we drove to the northern part of our province, British Columbia, Canada, for a fall visit with our son and Daughter-in-law.  This was the colour of the trees for the whole trip.  Such a bright fun yellow colour that just made you want to stop the car and jump in the piles.  Each year we make a HUGE pile of leaves in our yard and invite the grandchildren over.  We thuroughly enjoy running and jumping in the pile, then laying down and getting covered.  It is so much fun to be a Gramma, I now have the excuse to do some of the kid activities I loved as a child and no one looks at me funny!!!  Yay for Grandchildren.

February Stamp-A-Stack class cards #2

Hello!!!  I am back today with card #2 from my February Stamp-A-Stack class.  The only stamp set we used for all 4 cards of this class was Sheltering Tree.  We did 4 cards, one for each season.  Here is Summer ....

The bike in this set comes in 2 pieces.  First you stamp the wheels/seat/handlebars. Then you stamp the frame over top using whatever colour matches your card.  I used Blackberry Bliss for this card so it ties in with the Blackberry Bliss cardstock frame around the Whisper White piece.  The Sheltering Tree stamp set is Photopolymer and so very easy to line up one stamp with another to get a perfect image every time!

February Stamp-A-Stack class cards #1

The first class I hold each month is a Stamp-A-Stack class.  We get together and make either 3 cards (one of each different card), or 6 cards (2 of each different cards).  The stamp set of the month is Sheltering Tree and that was the theme of February's SAS. The cards were for each season using Sheltering Tree, here is the first card from that class ....

This is the Spring card.  The supplies used are listed below.  For all 4 cards, the only stamp set I used is Sheltering Tree. What a great and versatile stamp set this is, it has something for every occasion you can think of in one stamp set.  It is Photopolymer so very very easy to line up your stamping .

Catholic School Week 2015

This is Catholic School week.  Our local grandsons go to the Catholic school where we live.  We whipped up some cute mini calendars and a Thank You tag to enclose with them for the teachers in the school.

I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to stamp the blotches behind the calendar, then added a double butterfly and some bling.  The stamp on the tag is retired, but I think it is great!

January Fun With Blendabilities class card #2

Last post I shared one of the cards we made in my January Fun With Blendabilities card class.  Today I am here to share the second card with you ......

I made 2 versions of this card. The top one uses Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities.  The second one uses Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities.  Then on the second one I took the lightest Coastal Cabana and did some background colouring.  A butterfly from Pappillon Potpourri and a sentiment from Wetlands finishes off the card.  I used Dazzling Details for the body of the butterfly.  Then I used the White Signo Gel Pen to do some highlights in the centers of the flowers.

Colouring is so much fun, and these Blendabilities Markers by Stampin' Up! make it even more fun!  Want to try it?  Join us on Friday, February 27th for my next class.  We will make 2 more cards using these markers.
