Santa Head - Gift Bow Die cased

I will be so sad to see the Gift Bow Die retire as of January 2nd.

I found this long after Christmas was over, but had to make it anyways.  It was originally created by Amber Geehan in THIS POST on her blog.  Amber put hers on top of a gift box, but I turned it into a card.  I may still offer a class on this awesome image even though the die will retire.
Do you want to get your very own Gift Bow Die?  CLICK HERE to go to my online store and order yours today before it's too late (or anything else you can't live without).  Only a couple of days left to order it.

Visit Amber's blog to get the complete supply list and a tutorial on how to make Santa.

Lovely As A Tree Thank You cards ....

Once again I resorted to Lovely As A Tree to create some Thank You cards for customers who place orders with me.

I really don't know what I will do if Stampin' Up! ever decides to retire this stamp set.  It is my very, very, ultimate favourite set of all time.  I still have customers who order this set so I don't think it will be retired any time soon.  I sure hope the powers that be in Stampin' Up! hear my prayers on this!!!
In the second picture you can just see the shimmer from the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter I added to the trees using a 2 Way Glue Pen.
Stamps:  Lovely As A Tree, Lots Of Thanks
  Ink:  Night of Navy
Paper:  Whisper White, Night Of Navy
Other:  Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2 Way Glue Pen

I make handmade thank you cards for each order that is placed.  Maybe you would like to receive one of your very own?  Just order from me, either email me your order or use my online store, and you will get one!  Does not matter how big the order is, or which way you order from me.  Every order gets one.

Festive Flurry Gift Card Holder

A really easy Gift Card Holder made from the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base Die.

Every year I give our Canada Post Person and the Purolator Delivery Person Tim Horton Gift Cards.  These are the gift card holders I made for them this year.  The base is cut using the Pop 'n Cuts Card Base, and the decorations on the front are cut outs using the Festive Flurry Die, the Label Framelits die and the Chalk Talk Framelits die.  Quite easy to do, and you can make the layers any colour you want.  You could even really bling it up and use the Silver Glimmer Paper for the first layer, then the Red Glimmer Paper, and maybe add some of the Champagne Glimmer Paper as well.  Don't you LOVE the glimmer papers?  I like using them to bling everything and you can punch little itty bitty pieces out and use them anywhere.  Lots of glitter and little mess.  But then again, what's a little Glitter Mess?  I am notorious for putting it in my hair during a class!  LOL
  Stamps:  Merry Little Christmas
  Ink:  Pool Party
  Markers:  Coastal Cabana, Real Red
Paper:  Island Indigo, Winter Frost DSP Stack, Silver Foil, Whisper White, Red Glimmer, Smoky Slate (or you can use Whisper White to cut out the big snowflake)
Other:  Pop 'n Cuts base, Festive Flurry Dies, Label Framelits Dies, Chalk Talk Framelits Dies, Basic Rhinestones, velcro dot

Not too long now until Jolly Ole St. Nick - aka Santa - flies into the houses of all good (and not so good) children (and not so children).  I will not be posting on Christmas Day, but wish all of you a wonderful Holiday Season.
Happy Holidays .....

Candy Cane Sleigh Treat Holder

So much fun!  I loved the idea of these when I ran across them on pinterest and couldn't wait to make my own.

Since I took these pictures I found the Santa chocolates I was looking for and added them to the front.  So it looks like Santa is driving the sleigh!  The bottom layer is 2 Ghirardelli Chocolates wrapped, then the next layer is another Ghirardelli which is also wrapped.  Then two Hershey Nuggets, wrapped and finally on top another wrapped Nugget.  Everything is glued together with a hot glue gun, and you start with attaching the candy canes to the bottom layer and building from there.  Then I wrapped it all up with some Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle that I had left over from last year.  The Cherry Cobbler is gone, but you can still buy some of the Early Espresso one on the Clearance Rack - for only $3.39 (Canadian price).

Happy Holidays . . . . . .

Best Of Christmas Smarties Treat Holder

This Christmas Smarties Treat Holder would make a great table favour for your Christmas dinner!

This is just what I am going to do with it!  I made some and will use them as dinner table favours for our family Christmas Dinner we are attending this year.  We will not be having dinner at our house, as it is our children's turn to be with "the in-laws".  So we are going to have a lunch time dinner with my hubby's Mom, two sisters and brother and his wife, a cousin and a really good friend.  It is the first time in a VERY long time that all the siblings have been together with Mom at Christmas and I can't wait.  It will be so fun.

Here is a picture of the template I drew.  I received one of these at Convention in July as a bath salts holder.  The dimensions are the same, but I turned it into a Christmas theme. (click on the picture to go to the document).

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0z4Rm9olrfwTndMRXR1OVB5WVk/edit?usp=sharing

Here are the supplies I used:
   Stamps:  Best of Christmas
   Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, StazOn
Markers:  Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Gumball Green, Blush Blossom
Paper:  Early Espresso, Season Of Style DSP Stack, Champagne Glimmer, Whisper Whtie,
Other:  1.8" Cello Bag, Basic Rhinestone, Christmas Ornament Punch, Christmas Smarties, Small Oval Punch (the mini one)

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season.  I will post as often as I can, and be back in January with my regular posts.

Gift Bow Angel

This would be a wonderful addition to the Christmas Dinner Table as name cards.

I saw this cute angel on Pinterest then visited Tanya Bell's blog to get a video on how to make one using the Gift Bow Die by Stampin' Up!  Here is a picture of the one I made . . . . .

Then I thought, if I put an extra bow tail on the back, it would stand up and I could use it on the dinner table.  So I did and here is a side view picture of it ....

And up close for you.  It's real easy to add this little bit then you could leave off the twine at the top where she would hang if you put her on your tree.

It would not take a lot of time to whip a few of these angels up.  All you have to do first is purchase the Gift Bow Die.  It uses the Joyful Christmas stamp set, but you could also make it out of Brushed Gold cardstock, or some DSP if you like.  I love how the eyes are done and will use that little tid bit of punching a circle with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack circle (3/8") and then drawing around the bottom half to draw in the closed eyes.  Then just add some lashes.  Easy peasy and would work so well with some of the punch images I do classes with.

Stamps:  Joyful Christmas, Petite Pairs (or put a person's name in that area for a table setting)
  Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Champagne Glimmer, Blushing Bride
Other:  Gift Bow Die, 1", 1-1/4", 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Itty Bitty Circle Punch, Sponge

If you would like to see different versions of this angel, just go to Pinterest or You Tube and search for Gift Bow Angel, you will be amazed at the variety of the ones you will see.

Elf Shoes Christmas Card .....

These cute elf shoes are very simple to make using the Stampin' Up! Top Note Die ....

I saw this card on Patti Bennett's bog post HERE and sat right down and had to create them for myself. They originated from Robin Castagnola and Patti had the card as a guest card. This card was really fun to make and I think they just need some jingle bells on the feet to finish it off. But then you could not mail it, so that is why I did not do that.  Visit Patti's blog for a tutorial on how to make this card yourself.

  Stamps:  Tags For You
  Ink:  Real Red
Paper:  Real Red, Gumball Green, Silver Glimmer, Real Red Patterned DSP, Gumball Green Patterned DSP
Other:  Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Blossom Punch, Top Note Die, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Petite Presents Designer Tag, Scallop Edge Punch, Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon

Deck The Halls With Christmas Lights

A super fun way to use the Ornament Keepsakes Dies by Stampin' Up!

I cased this card from Mary Fish in THIS post. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.  The hardest part is getting the string to be just right.  But then I am OCD and it had to be just so. Here is a closer look at the bling on the sentiment.  I used a 2 Way Glue Pen and went over the words then dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Then I used some Dazzling Details on the lights and made them sparkle too. Then I could not resist putting some Red Glimmer paper on there as well.  Blinged up to the max!

  Stamps:  Christmas Messages, Ornament Keepsakes
Ink:  StazOn, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Gumball Green
  Markers:  Basic Black, Real Red
  Paper:  Whisper White, Red Glimmer
Other:  2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Ornament Keepsakes Die, Dazzling Details

Well almost Christmas Day.  I hope you are all ready.  I am, at least I think I am.  We are not having Christmas dinner at our house this year, so I don't have to do any cooking or prep work.  We are going to share the afternoon and dinner with some of my hubby's family after sharing the Christmas morning with our grand children and their parents!  It is always such a fun time.  Won't be seeing our "youngest" son (which is a funny family joke as our children are twins and were born 2 minutes apart LOL) this year as they moved to northern BC in the summer.  Will miss them terribly, but as they say. I have to put on my big girl panties and suck it up!

Soft Christmas Snowflakes With Bling!

Everything is Better with Bling!!!! This is one of my mantras, but it also happens to be true.

This is a nice soft Christmas card, and all the Silver Glimmer Paper adds some great bling to it!  Here is an up close picture of the snowflake piece .....

I used the Festive Flurry Dies to cut out the layers of the snowflake, then topped it off with a 7/8" Scallop Circle of Silver Glimmer paper.  The blue brad in the center is a Glimmer Brad from the Brights collection.  The layers of the snowflake are separated by dimensionals to give it a bit of height.  The background is embossed with the Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder, and is some Soft Sky cardstock.  Very soft and pretty don't you think?

  Stamps:  More Merry Messages
  Ink:  Soft Sky
Paper:  Soft Sky, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Other:  Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Festive Flurry Dies, Brights Glimmer Brad

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you are having a super great day!

Modern Medley Pop 'n Cuts Christmas Card

I got out my Pop 'n Cuts dies and created this lovely Christmas card.

I cased the front image of this card from someone on the internet.  I think it was from Sandi MacIver but not sure, sorry.

I discovered that you don't have to use the Pop 'n Cuts base to make a card with the Pop 'n Cuts inside.  I cut a piece of cardstock 11 x 4-1/4 for the base.  Then cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock for the inside at 4 x 5" and run it through the Big Shot with the Labels Insert and the Pop 'n Cuts base.  Way too cool and the Gold Foil paper goes really well with the Modern Medley DSP and Real Red ink.
To do the image for the front you stamp the image from Thoughts and Prayers upside down in Old Olive.  Then stamp the ornament stamp from Christmas Collectibles in Real Red and punch it with the co-ordinating Christmas Ornament punch.  That is popped up on dimensionals and a Basic Rhinestone is put in the center. I punched a scrap of Gold Foil paper with the Christmas Ornament punch and put it on the top of the ornament to finish it off. The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.
Inside I used the sentiment stamp from Evergreen and stamped it in Real Red.  It is cut out with the Deco Labels Framelits die.

Stamps:  Thoughts and Prayers, Christmas Collectibles, Delightful Dozen, Evergreen
  Ink:  Real Red, Old Olive
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Gold Foil, Modern Medley DSP
Other:  Pop 'n Cuts Base and Label Insert, Christmas Ornament Punch, Deco Labels die

Colour Me Christmas Reindeer Card

One more card using the Colour Me Christmas stamp set by Stampin' Up! This time the Reindeer ....

I saw this different layout on Pinterest and decided to use it to create this Rudolph the Reindeer card.  The Chocolate Chip card base is narrower (4") than the Cherry Cobbler layer (4-1/4").  It is kind of backwards to the normal way of creating a card where the base is larger than the first layer.  Too fun!  A bit of Red Glimmer Paper punched with the 1/4" circle punch makes Rudolph's nose shine bright.  Flags are all the rage these days and three layers of them make this card pop out.

Stamps:  Colour Me Christmas, Petite Pairs
  Ink:  StazOn, Cherry Cobbler
Markers:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Red Glimmer, Season Of Style DSP Stack
Other:  1-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Circles Die, 1/4" Circle Punch

I hope you have had a bit of fun using this cute stamp set.  There are five images in this stamp set.
Item #131742 - $25.95 wood mount or #131745 - $19.95 clear mount. Here's a picture of the set, just click on it to go to my web store and order a set for your very own.
