Anti-Bullying Day T-Shirts

Papercrafting pink T-Shirts for anti-bullying day ....

Today is Anti-Bullying day and everyone is encouraged to wear a pink t-shirt.  Well I only have one and discovered that one was not only in the laundry, it was in the washer very wet when I needed to wear it.  So I zipped into my craft room and made up a pink T-shirt.  Then I decided why not make them for everyone at my Wednesday morning class?  So I did, then I had to add bling to them of course.  They were a bit hit.
Thank goodness I adopted a set of the Dressed Up dies!  So cute, don't you think?
Did you support Anti-Bullying Day?

Valentine's Day Card Share

Thought I would continue on with the Valentine's Day theme.  You can always save them for next year.  Or maybe turn them into a wedding card????

This is another cased card, this time from Lauren Mullarkey.  Then I used the layout to create another couple of cards.

   Stamps:  Outlined Occasions
Ink:  Pretty In Pink Craft, Basic Black, Versa Mark
Paper:  Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Basic Black, Rose Red
Other:  Fancy Fan Letterpress (R), Small Heart Punch, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits, Lots Of Love Letterpress (R)

Isn't it great when you can use one layout and make multiple cards out of it?  I love doing that so I can have some cards on hand for various occasions.  How about using one of these layouts to create a card yourself?

Valentine's Day Heart Strings cards

Here are two Valentine's Day cards that I gave our Grandson's this year.  Then I used the same layout to create a cute butterfly birthday card.

Last year I was browsing the internet and came across Connie Babbert's post with the Valentine's cards on it.  I cased the cards right away.  They are so fun to make.  Then I thought, hmmm I could make a birthday card out of the same layout using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits.  The last card is the result of that creation.

   Stamps:  Holiday's and Wishes
   Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Peach Parfait (R), Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Other:  Finial Press EF (R), Full Heart Punch, Lucky Limeade Ribbon (R), Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits

Some of the items are retired, but sometimes it's nice to pull out the older ones and dust them off.

Hostess Gifts for Workshops / Home Parties

When I have a Home Party (also known as a Workshop) I always give my Hostess a special gift of some kind.  This is one that I cased from Patty Bennett.

This is made out of a left over button container.  I decorated the top of it with some punched paper pieces, one of the Spice Cake Designer Buttons and a bow made out of the Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine. Then I rolled some of the Baker's Twine around a left over ribbon plastic center and popped it inside the container.  The hole was punched in the side of the container using the Crop-A-Dile so the baker's twine can be removed without having to open the container.

   Cardstock:  Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder
Punches:  Crop-A-Dile, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle, Scallop Circle, 1-1/4" Circle
Other:  Button Container, Ribbon Plastic Center, Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine, Spice Cake Button

Would you like to Hostess a Home Party during Sale-A-Bration?  Along with the regular Hostess Rewards you could also be eligible to get a FREE package of Silver Glimmer Paper (when your party order reaches $200) and / or a special Hostess Collection of Madison Avenue Stamp Set, Sycamore Street DSP and Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack (when your party order reaches $525).  And don't forget with EVERY $60 in Stampin' Up! product you order, you get to choose one FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!  How cool is that.  Contact me today to reserve your spot in my schedule.  You can hold the party in my studio to avoid all the muss and fuss.

Another on of my passions - Clogging

One of my non papercrafting passions is Clogging.  I started clogging in 1988 and have been on and off ever since.  I go on Tuesday nights, when I remember it is Tuesday and I don't have a scheduled class.
Many people have asked me exactly what Clogging is so I thought I would share a you tube video of one of the "dances" we do - Boot Scootin' Boogie.  This is not a member of our club, just someone I found on the internet, but his steps are very close to the version we did two nights ago .....

Leave a comment for me and let me know what your "outside" interests are.  Do you Clog????

Penguin Punchie Image

Again today I am sharing a Punch Image card that I cased from Pinterest.  It is one of Kay Sha's creations.  HERE is a link to her blogpost.

I kept the card very simple, as the cute penguin is quite large and oh so darned cute.  I did not want the card to distract your eyes from the image so I just cased the card as well.
Here is the information from Kay's blog on how to create the penguin and card ....
Punch:

- 2-1/2" Circle Punch #120906 (for the body, head, hat, head band
- Ornament Punch #119847 (for the tip of the bonnet)
- 3/4"x 15/16" oval medium punch #120908 (earmuffs & beak)
- 1-3/4" Circle Punch #119850 (inner body)
- Large Oval punch #119859 (the face)
- Small Oval punch #119863 (the wings)
- Modern Label Punch #119849(the feet)
- Itty Bitty Punch Pack - Circle #118309(for the eyes)
- Fancy Flower Punch- XL #118073(for the pointy beak, punch out a flower then use your 3/4" x 15/16" oval punch to position on the center of the pointy piece of the flower impression)

Textured Impression Folder:
- Perfect Polka Dots #117335 (on the head band)
- Square Lattice #119976 (on the hat and earmuff)
- Northern Flurry #120902 (for the card)

Stamp Set:
- Many Merry Messages #116586

Cardstock:
- Real Red (hat)
- Old Olive (headbands)
- Baja Breeze (earmuffs)
- Whisper White (body and face)
- Daffodil Delight (for the feet)
- Basic Black (the body)
- So Saffron (for the beak)

What do you think your favourite image would be to create out of punched pieces?  It is very hard for me to decide cuz I just love them all!

Puppy Punch Image

A very cute Happy Puppy made out of pieces from Stampin' Up! punches.

One of my favourite classes each month is the Punchie Class.  I've been offering them for over 3 years now and we have not created the same on twice!  Today I have a Happy Puppy for you made mostly out of heart shaped punches.

   Body - Full Heart punch
Ears - Full Heart punch, then you use the small oval (R) to punch out the middle
Muzzle - Heart to Heart punch
   Head - 1" Circle punch
Tongue and Tail - Slot punch (R)
Nose - Heart to Heart punch
Eyes - 1/4" Circle and Double Circle (R) punches

I used Marina Mist, Whisper White, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler cardstock to create him.  Wouldn't he be cute as a she using Pretty In Pink cardstock?  Why don't you give it a try and email me with your picture.  I would love to share it on my blog!

Field Flowers Thank You card - Cased

Another one of my favourite blogs to visit is Lee Conrey over at Stampinglee Yours.  Lee has a very minimilistic approach to most of her cards, and she has influenced my progress over the years.

This card measures 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".  The background is the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  It is not wide enough, so you just move it over and emboss the rest.  This technique is quite easy with this very versatile embossing folder.

Stamps:  Field Flowers, Because I Care
Ink:  Cajun Craze, More Mustard, StazOn
   Markers:  Old Olive, Cajun Craze
   Paper:  Whisper White, Cajun Craze
Other:  Woodgrain EF, Windows Framelits, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Pearls coloured with a brown sharpie

I love the technique of colouring Stampin' Up! Pearls and Rhinestones with sharpie markers.  It is quick and easy and you can "dye" them to match the colours in your card.  HERE is a link to a you tube video on how to colour pearls and rhinestones.  Have you coloured any of your "bling" to match your card?

Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Ink Pad - Stampin' Up!

I have had a lot of inquiries from my customers about the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Ink Pad by Stampin' Up!  Today I will share with you a card I made using this ink pad.

I used the Illuminate Ink Pad for the background of this card.  It was in the Holiday Catalogue, but it is still available. I inked up the En Francais background stamp and stamped it on Basic Black cardstock. This ink only shows up on darker cardstock as it adds a shimmery opaque look to any stamped image. The floral image is from Field Flowers and I stamped it in VersaMark then embossed it in Silver Embossing Powder.  Then I added some Champagne Shimmer Spritz.  I made my own using Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and 70% Rubbing Alcohol (1 oz R Alcohol to 20 drops Shimmer Paint) in a spritz bottle

   Stamps:  En Francais #109521, Field Flowers #122760 (W) #122762 (C)
Ink:  Illuminate Ink Pad #126857, VersaMark #102283
Paper:  Basic Black #121045, Gumball Green #126840
Other:  Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz #116806, Silver Embossing Powder #109131, Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon #126848

Have you tried this ink pad yet?  Leave me a message and tell me if you like it or not.  Love to hear from you.

Sail Away Masculine Birthday Card

My customers always say it is hard to come up with a masculine birthday card.  My answer to them?  All you need is the perfect stamp.  I used the now retired "Sail Away" stamp and the Direct to Paper technique for this one.

To do the Direct To Paper Technique, all you do is hold your open ink pad upside down and put it on the paper.  Gently move the pad around while maintaining gentle contact to the paper. The new Stampin' Up! ink pads make a very different pattern on the cardstock than the old ones did.  I used Bashful Blue on the top and Pool Party on the bottom. Try it yourself and see what you can come up with.

Some of you may know we are sailers at heart.  Here is a picture of our boat "Maraya" ...
Last summer we actually got to use the sails a few days while out on our annual sailing vacation.  I sure wish summer would hurry up so we can have more adventures on Maraya.  This summer our oldest Grandson, James will be old enough to come out with us!  Whoo hoooo.

Turtle Punch Image and Free Tutorial

What is more cuter (ha love that grammer!) than a cute little turtle? This punch image is quick and easy to do.

And here is a picture of the How To page for Tessa the Turtle:
To make the grass that Tessa is swimming through I used the Inspired By Nature stamp (now retired but still in my arsenal).  Then I punched some Soft Suede cardstock with the Horizontal Slot punch (which is also retired but still loved by me) and adhered them to the grass to look like bull rushes.
Card Supplies I used:
Stamps:  Inspired By Nature (R), Loads of Love (R)
Ink:  Gumball Green #126861, StazOn Black #101406
Paper:  Whisper White #100730, So Saffron #105118, Pool Party #122924, Wild Wasabi #108641, Soft Suede #115318
Other:  Modern Label Punch #119849, Word Window Punch #119857, Horizontal Slot Punch (R)

Do you like to make punch images as much as I do?  Leave me a message if you are a punchie addict like me!  Would you like to see more?

Dude, You're Welcome kit information

I have had a number of inquiries on the Dude, You're Welcome kit for Men that Stampin' Up! released in January.

I came across this awesome video from Dawn Griffith that is just the greatest video.  Her hubby is in the video with her and he opens, explains and uses the kit and it's contents. It is hilarious!  Hope you get a chance to give it a watch.  It is great if you want to see all the kit contents including each of the 4 stamps included.

Field Flower Sparkle

Did you notice the Illuminate ink pad and refill in the just retired Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue?  It was on page 23.  Don't be surprised if you missed it, so did 3 classes of stampers In My Craft Room!  I challenged 3 sets of stampers to find the ink pad in the catalogue with no help from me.  Not one of the over 20 ladies saw it until I pointed it out.  The good news?  Well it has been held over and is still available!  The last page of the Spring Catalogue has all the products that are still available for you to buy.  This is the ink I used for the background on this card, along with En Francais background stamp.  It is very sparkley in person.
   Stamps:  En Francais, Field Flowers
   Ink:  Illuminate, VersaMark
   Paper:  Basic Black, Gumball Green
Other:  Silver Embossing Powder, Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon
