Paper Pumpkin Monthly Kit - Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! recently announced a brand new creative idea - a monthly kit delivered directly to your front door!

HERE is a link to the brand new website set up specially for these kits.  Paper Pumpkin, it is called, and what a fabulous idea for those of us who are rushed off our feet in this fast paced world we live in, but wish we had time to create fabulous papercrafting projects.  Well we have the answer for you.  Each month you will receive a project kit delivered to your door for a low monthly price of $24.95 (Canadian)!  Stampin' Up! will cut the required paper and ribbon pieces, provide you with all the envelopes, embellishments, stamps, ink and directions how to create the project(s).  All you need to provide are adhesives.  Could it be any easier????? Your first kit (called the Welcome Kit) will include one acrylic block (Block "D" from the main catalogue) which you will use for each kit.  Each kit will come with Clear Mount stamp(s) and a Stampin' Spot ink pad.  You will receive the Welcome Kit as your first kit, no matter when you sign up.

Here is a sample of one of the kits:

FAQs:

Q: When Will I Be Billed?
A: Your credit card will be charged as soon as your Paper Pumpkin ships. You will get an e-mail notifying you that your card has been charged.

Q: What comes in my Paper Pumpkin?
A: It's a surprise each month—anticipation for the surprise is seriously half the fun! No worries, though, you'll have everything you need to complete the project: paper, stamps, ink, accessories, and more! (You will need adhesive.)

Q: Is my subscription on auto renew?
A: Yes, your subscription is on auto renew. However, you can skip a month or cancel at any time. Simply log on to your account on www.mypaperpumpkin.com and click skip a month before the 10th of the month in order to skip the Paper Pumpkin for that month. If you click skip a month on the 11th of the month, you will receive that month's Paper Pumpkin and not receive the following month's Paper Pumpkin.

Q: When do I need to sign up in order to get my Paper Pumpkin for a specific month?
A: You need to sign up by the 10th of the month in order to receive your Paper Pumpkin for that month. If you sign up after the 10th―no worries! You will get your first kit the following month. You'll know your Paper Pumpkin is on its way when you receive your shipment confirmation e-mail.

In March you will be able to order the "Try It" kit for only $20.95 if you would like to see if this is a fit for you.  HERE is the link to that information.....  But don't dispair, you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin and change your mind after only one month!  So no need to be warry of the committment, it is only for as long as you want.

Why not get a group of friends together and everyone sign up for Paper Pumpkin.  Then you will have an excuse to all get together one day / evening a month and create your projects.  If you don't have a space big enough, just let me know and you can come and create In My Studio!  Just designate me as your demonstrator when you order your kit, and my space is at your disposal (some date and time restrictions will apply due to my classes and workshops).

Have a super day, my stampin' friends and I hope to see you soon In My Craft Room .

Lovely As A Tree Masculine Birthday

Masculine cards always take a bit more thinking on my part.  I am a flowers stamper at heart, so to make something that has no bling, no frills, and no flowers is a bit more challenging.
Lovely As A Tree is my very first, and very favourite Stampin' Up! stamp set.  I used it this time to create this great masculine birthday card.
Stamps:  Lovely As A Tree, Fabulous Florets, Something to Celebrate
Ink:  Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Crumb Cake DSP
   Other:  Argyle EF

Fabulous Florets Thinking Of You

A bright sunny card to share with you today.  Sometimes winter in our small town is very depressing.  We get a lot of fog, it rolls in at the beginning of November and does not leave until the middle of March.  When we have a clear sunny day, it is like a miracle from heaven and we all head outside to enjoy it.  I made this card during one of those foggy, dark days to brighten everyone up.
Stamps:  Fabulous Florets, Thinking of You (unknown, but it is Stampin' Up and purple so ????)
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
Paper:  Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight DSP
Other:  3-1/2" and 3" Circle Dies, Blossom Punch
To make the piece the sentiment is stamped on, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 1" x 3-1/2", then stamp the sentiment on it.  Then using the Blossom Punch I punch off each end of the cardstock.  To do this you insert one end of the paper into the punch from the TOP and punch it, then insert the other end in from the TOP as well and punch it.  It is quite easy once you get the hang of it, and I use it quite a bit for sentiments.

Ostrich Punch Art Card

This was one of the punch art images we did in a recent Punchie Class.  Of course I did not write down where I "borrowed" it from, but if it is yours please email me so I can give you proper credit.  As I can't remember where I got the image from, I will not be posting the "how to" page incase it is a pay for tutorial.
One of my passions is doing punch images.  I do create a few, a very few, but most of them are captured online somewhere.  Each month we have a Punchie Class where we do 2 images with a 6x6 How To page and one complete card.  It is one of my favourite classes.
