Fabulous Florets Baby Wipe Technique Card - and a Whale Tale ...

This past weekend hubby and I had a "staycation" with some family members here in the Alberni Valley.  There is a local campground that is home to MANY fishermen/women all summer long.  Now they are packed up and gone home, so we decided to give the campground a try.  We had the most fabulous time!  Weinie roast, marshmallows, smores, family, walking, playing, fishing and Whale Watching right from the beach.  Here is a picture taken by my DH from our boat just off the beach.  I was actually sitting on the beach with our youngest grandson when he took this picture.  There has been two or more Humpbacked Whales in the Alberni Canal for almost a month now.  They were around the campground all 3 days we were there.

Now on to my card share for the day.  I had a technique class called "Baby Wipe Ink Pad" and we made this awesome card using the Fabulous Florettes stamp set and Flower Garden embossing folder.

Stamps:  Fabulous Florettes, Whimsical Words (R)
Ink:  Concord Crush (R), Wild Wasabi
Reinkers: Perfect Plum, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Concord Crush (R)
Other: Flower Garden Embossing Folder, Baby Wipe

Hope you had a great weekend as well.

I cased this one from the just retired Occasions Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up!. It was ont page 16.  I love using punches for uses other than what they are intended for.  This card uses the Blossom Punch to make a butterfly.  I also used the new Diagonal Plate for the Score It tool to make diagonal score lines on the white background.  However they are not so obvious in this picture.
   Stamps:  Mixed Bunch, Curly Cute
   Ink:  Melon Mambo
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Other:  Score It Tool, Diagonal Plate, Blossom Punch, Small Oval Punch (R) for body

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  I appreciate the visit!!!

Layered Heart Anniversary Card

This was cased from Sandi MacIver I changed it a bit to make it my own.  It is our DS and DDIL's anniversary and this will be their card.  I just have to stamp the sentiment on it yet.  I used Silver Glimmer Paper and spritzed it with Gold Smooch Spritz to make it the lovely golden colour.  Now I would just use the new Champagne Glimmer Paper.
   Stamps:  Floral Background (R)
   Ink:  Pretty In Pink
Cardstock:  Baxic Black, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Silver Glimmer Paper,
Other:  Hearts Framelits, Addorning Accents Embossing Folder and matching Die, Hearts Edge Punch (R), Finial Press Embossing Folder (R), Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon (R), Gold Smooch Spritz (R), Gold Glass Glitter, Whisper White Satin Ribbon (R), Sending Love Pretty In Pink Brad (R)

Bordering On Romance

Boy I really have to start keeping track of the names of people I case cards from!  I am sorry, but please email me if you are the originator of this awesome card.
This is a different way to use the new Framelits Dies.  I cut two of  the Whisper White frames one size bigger than the Elegant Eggplant frame, then I cut one white frame lengthwise in half, and the other white frame width-ways (is that a word???LOL) in half, and framed the eggplant one by "shrinking" in the white frames.  I hope this makes sense to you.
Stamps:  Bordering On Romance
Ink:  Basic Black
Markers:  Pear Pizzazz, Pretty In Pink, Elegant Eggplant
Paper:  Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Other:  Adorning Accents Framelits Dies, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Wide Oval Punch, 2 Large Basic Pearls, Lace Border Punch (R), Whisper White Taffeta double bow
Now that the kiddies are back in school, I hope you are getting more In Your Craft Room time!

Rue des fleurs CAS Thanks

The last card in my CAS (clean and simple) set for you today.  This one also uses the retired stamp set Rue des fleurs.  There is only 3 products used to make this card besides the adhesives.
Stamps:  Rue des fleurs
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Very Vanilla
I popped up the vanilla piece on the front to give the card a bit of dimension.  But you could just as easily leave it flat for those long haul postage requirements.
