Tempting Turquoise Birthday Card

Well I got to create a quick card for you today.  Here it is ....
Hmmm it seems my picture is not the greatest!  Must fix that.
I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch to create the 4 flowers that are peeping up in the middle of the card.  The lower part of Whisper White is embossed with one of the new Embossing Folders from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue called "Stripes".  They also brought back the Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon so I used some of that and some of the Whisper White too.
Stamps:  Swirls and Curls Verses (hostess set)
Ink:  Basic Black
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise
Other:  Stripes Embossing Folder, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon - Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.
Well I am going away again, and will not have internet access while I am away.  I hope to manage to keep up with emails tho.  So I won't be posting to my blog for a couple of weeks.  Sorry, but I promise when I get back I will get back to the posts and creations again.
Happy Stampin' and have a great summer .... ... .... ...

My Friend Embossed card - CASEd

A while ago I saw a card similar to this one on someone's blog (sorry I searched but can't remember whose it was, if it belongs to you please email me so I can give you proper credit).  I changed it a bit by changing the punch used and adding Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz to the front ....
You can't really see the bling of the spritz, but it IS there!
Stamps:  My Friend
Ink:  Versa Mark
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Other:  Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, Eyelette Border punch, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz
I love all the new embossing powders that Stampin' Up! has come out with now.  And they match our cardstock, inks and markers too!  Life can't get  much better. ....
Happy Stampin' ... ... ...

Fancy Fan Letterpress Birthday Card

Well, I am back from the annual Stampin' Up! Connection and boy did we have a great time.  It was my first time and I am truly glad that I went.  Thank you to my friend MiRan and her help through the maze of the convention, and thank you to all the great demonstrators I met during the 4 days.
I managed to create a card in between having some quality grandson time!  I used the new Fancy Fan Letterpress found in the main catalogue on page 217 (Item 123129 - $9.95 Canadian).....
I used Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party on this card, two of the 2011-13 In Colours.  I inked the letterpress in VersaMark and ran it through my Big Shot on the Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I love the background this created.  Then to take it up a notch, I spritzed it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz - ooh lala the bling! LOL
Stamps:  Bring On The Cake
Ink:  VersaMark, Wisteria Ponder
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party
Other:  Fancy Fan Letterpress, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, Wide Oval Punch, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon
I punched out a long string of the Lace Ribbon Border Punch, then cut it and created a frame around the cake image piece in Pool Party, then I punched some more in Whisper White and created a border for the bottom of the Whisper White piece.  I stamped the cake image again on Pool Party cardstock, then cut it out and popped it up on the original image to add a bit of dimension.
Oh I love my craft room and I am so glad to be back.
Happy Stampin' .............. ................ .......................

Stampin' Up! Annual Convention - 2011

Well I'm here and having a FANTASTIC time.  I am getting to meet (or at least see) so many of the awesome demonstrators I have cased and drooled over.  Oh how lovely.  Last night was the Annual Awards Dinner where the top demonstrators are honoured.  Congratulations to each and every one of them!
I have been busy snapping huge quantities of photos and will share some with you over the next while.  We have been privileged to see some of the new products coming out in the Holiday Mini catalogue which will go live Sept 1,2011.  Oh my, dies, bling, designer papers, new tools, so much to make your creative juices flow even more.
I am here with my friend and fellow demo, Mi Ran, from Victoria.  Here is a picture of us the first day.....
Yup we are excited.  The theme this year is "Grow" so there are lots of flowers everywhere.....
Can you believe this cute basket is made out of the Box#2 Die?  Oh boy I see a class coming up!
Anyhow, have to run back to the convention again for more fun and festivities.
See you soon, and there is a surprise in the Holiday Mini catalogue.  I think I may create a draw for you to enter if you can tell me what the surprise is.  Well after you receive your mini of course.  Contact me the last week of August if you have not received yours yet and you want one.
Happy Stampin' ... ...  Glenda

Designer Series Paper Shares: Pages 185 and 186 of the main catalogue

This year there are 12 new packages (does not include the specialty ones from page 183). In this share you will receive a 6'x6" piece of each of the 6 different sheets from all 12 packages. A total of 72 pieces for just $25.00!

Paper Stacks Designer Series Paper Share: Page 186 of the main catalogue

Also on page 186 is the extremely popular Paper Stacks. These stacks are designs using all 4 colour collections as well as the 2010 and 2011 in colours. The designs are tone on tone, just one colour per sheet. You will never be without a piece of patterned paper to match your cardstock again! There are 4 collections (Subltes, Brights, Regals and Neutrals) and the two In Colour stacks for a total of 6 stacks. You can order just the 4 collections, or just the 2 in colours, or all 6, it is up to you.

Brights, Subtles, Regals, Neutrals 80 pieces in total $15.50 per set
In Colours 2010 and 2011 20 pieces in total $4.50
All of the above $20.00 - 100 pieces!

Now you just have to contact me and let me know which one(s) you would like to purchase.  I will be collecting orders until tomorrow and placing the order on Sunday. This order will be here when I get back from Convention (hopefully) and before we go on our sailing adventure.

Then I will be collecting orders again (and this will be your last chance) until August 3rd and I will be placing the order on August 4th. You really don't want to miss these shares, specially if you are like me and like the coordinate your colours.

Have a super day and Happy Stampin' . . . . . .

Wisteria Wonder - CASEd card

A couple of days ago I saw the most amazing card by Lee Conrey, HERE is a link to her blog post. Lee makes cards that are clean and simple, but they pack a whole lot of zing in them.  I knew when I saw this that I had to case it, here is my take on Lee's card......
I changed the card a bit, I used Wisteria Wonder (one of the new In Colours) and I turned mine sideways.  I also used Rhinestones instead of Pearls, and I spritzed it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz.  I have waited an entire year for a lighter, softer purple, and now I am jazzed about Wisteria Wonder.
Stamps:  Short and Sweet
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Other:  Lace Ribbon Border Punch (NEW), Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, Whisper White Organza Ribbon

UPDATE: sorry I forgot to share the picture of the shimmer spritz up close.....

Just For You Double Embossing Technique

I used the Double Embossing Technique for the background of this card.  In behind the Tangerine Tango embossing powder is the First Edition Specialty DSP.  Another product that has made it into the new Stampin' Up! 2011-12 Idea Book And Catalogue!
I pulled out my Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch and created this flower.  I've been seeing them in lots of blogs lately and can't remember if this is an original creation or "inspired / cased" from someone else.  I ove the Bold blossom leaf image with this punch art.  It did not make it into the new cataloogue, but it is still available for another month in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalogue.
Stamps:  Bold Blossom, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, VersaMark
Paper:  First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black
Other:  Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder, Finial Press Embossing Folder, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, Curly Label punch, Fire Circle Brad
Hope you are having a great weekend and Happy Stampin' . . . .

French Foliage Hello

I finally got some awesome time In My Craft Room to create a card.  I have been feeling withdrawal symptoms lately, LOL.
Here is the card I have for you today .....
I was doing the happy dance when I saw that this stamp set, French Foliage, was in the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue.  When it was in the mini I fell in love with this set, now I can continue to use it!  It is very versatile.  I cut 2 butterflies out using the Beautiful Butterflies die and Blushing Bride cardstock.  Then I spritzed them with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz and layered them.  Here's an upclose picture of the bling.....

I used the new Swirls & Curls Verses set from the Summer Mini catalogue (level 1 hostess set, but as of today you can purchase it with your Hostess Dollars for only $13.50 Wood or $10.00 Clear Mount.

I love the little bird on this stamp.
Stamps:  Swirls & Curls Verses, French Foliage
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush
Cardstock:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Other:  Beautiful Butterflies Die, Basic Rhinestones, Movers & Shapers die, Scallop Oval punch
Thanks for visiting today, have a super day.  Happy Stampin' .....
