Elegant Bouquet Wedding Card

Hi, I'm back today with a Wedding Card for you.  This is an original, not cased or inspired by anyone.  Yup, my mojo had a workout!
and the inside .....

With my Brayering class on my mind, I decided to dust off one of the techniques (brayering on an embossing folder) and create this card.  I brayered the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder with Rich Razzleberry ink and I just LOVE the result.  It sure made the embossing stand out.  Then I added the ribbon and pearls.  This layout would go with any colour scheme that any bride chooses.
Stamps:  Occasional Quotes (outside), Ever After (inside), Vintage Vogue (inside)
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock:  Whisper White, River Rock, Rich Razzleberry
Other:  Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Decorative Label Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Brayer, Basic Pearls (the 3 on the sentiment were coloured with a sharpie marker)
Happy Stampin' and I hope you have a great weekend.

Brayered Thinking Of You - CASEd Card

In April I am having a Brayering Technique Class.  When I saw this card that Michelle Zindorf recently posted and provided a tutorial for, I knew I would make it one of the cards we will be making.
Here is a picture of my version of that card ......
I just love how Michelle does her cards, I have cased a few of them now.  This one is a bit different as it uses the Basic Gray Classic pad and the Whisper White Craft pad in a bit of a different way.  But it is real easy to do because Michelle gives you a step by step tutorial.
Now looking at this, I see I need to go back and do some more of the white dotting.  The brayered part of this card was real quick, I think it only took me about 10 minutes to do.
Thanks for visiting, if you would like to come to my Brayering Class (we will be doing 3 full cards and 2 extra techniques) just email me
Happy Stampin'. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Where Have I Been?

I have not posted in a few days because I've been on an adventure!  I spent 3 days in Tofino on Mackenzie Beach with my DH who is working out there again.  But this time we had our 3 yr old grandson, James with us.  Oh we had so much fun on the beach.  Here is a picture for you ....
Grampa and James spent a long time digging rivers between pockets of water around the rocks.  So much fun!
I'll be back tomorrow with a card I cased from Michelle Zindorf.

Cupcake Happy Birthday Card

I saw this card at a recent get together at Barb Tripp's home where a bunch of us demos got together to prepare for the Vancouver Regional Seminar.  I asked Barb if I could case the card and she was graceful enough to allow me to.  Barb does not have a blog (yet!) so I can't send you that way, but she is a very talented papercrafter.  She is the one I also cased THIS card from.
This card uses the new Create A Cupcake set and Build A Cupcake Punch by Stampin' Up!  I fought cupcakes for a couple of years now, saying they were not my "style".  Ha!  Now I have the set and the punch and absolutely LOVE them both.  Check yesterday's post where I made my newest batch of Thank You cards using the set and punch.
Here is my card ........
Barb's original card used Cherry Cobbler and Love Letters DSP.  I used Mellon Mambo and the SAB designer paper Ice Cream Parlor.  I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones, because you know me, Bling is Better!
Stamps:  Create A Cupcake, Tiny Tags
Ink:  Mellon Mambo, Pretty In Pink
Paper:  Ice Cream Parlor DSP
Cardstock:  Mellon Mambo, Whisper White
Other:  Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Build A Cupcake Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Basic Rhinestones, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Modern Label Punch, Eyelette Border Punch
Have a great day and Happy Stampin' ....................

Latest Thank You cards

All of my customers get a hand made Thank You card from me for any order they submit.  Each card they receive is different, and this is the latest one .....

I used the new Create A Cupcake set and Build A Cupcake Punch.  The background is stamped with Dot, Dot, Dot which you can get for RREE as a Sale-A-Bration Item, but only until March 31st.  The cherry is punched out of Real Red Glimmer paper!
The sentiment I made using Thank You from Occasional Quotes, and with a cherry on top from A Word For You set.  I think it really goes well with the cupcake image!
Thanks for visiting, Happy Stampin' .......................................

Happy Easter Bunny Punchie Art Card

Back in June 2010 I saved a picture of a very cute Bunny Punch Art Image by Mercedes Webber.  Now I do not know if I got it on a blog (I did search and cannot find one), or received it in an email, or found it on Splitcoast Stampers, but thank you Mercedes for one of the cutest bunny rabbits I have seen.  It was originally on an Easter Basket made with the Stampin' Up! Scallop Envelope die.
This month this cute Bunny is one of the images for my Monthly Punchie Class.  I did the "how to" page and made the punch images last year, and today I created the card to go with it.  I was a bit stumped, until Kim Score posted THIS cute card with her bunny on it.  I was inspired and came up with this .....

Can you believe how cute this turned out?  Here is a closer view of the bunny image ....

And here are the flowers - I used Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz to add some bling - well of course I did!

I used a couple of different techniques on this card - faux clouds and direct to paper.  The flowers are made out of the Island Floral Bigz Die, and the centers are Neutrals Glimmer Brads.  I did something different to the sentiment to get it to look like that, can you guess what I did?  If there is enough interest, I could do a tutorial on how I achieved it, but not until after my Punchie Class as my Stampin' Ladies will be the first to get that little tidbit of information!  If you are in the area and would like to join us for my Monthly Punchie Class, email me, the class is Tuesday, March 29 between 1 pm and 8 pm.  Hope to see you there!
This is the post for the other Punchie card we will be making .
Happy Stampin', and I hope to see you soon, In My Craft Room ....

Stampin' Up! Deffinitely Decorative

Look what I did with a Stampin' Up! Decor Elements Logo and  Upsy Daisy in Teal also in Decor Elements ....
I got the Upsy Daisy one quite a while ago (a couple of years, yup I know, procrastinator or what), but did not want to use it.  See I even hoard Decor Elements, not just paper and embellishments!!!
But now it was time to make up a great sign and use both of these.  There is a Home Business Fair in Port Alberni, BC on Saturday, April 16 and my downline and I have booked a table.  This will be one of our signs we will be using.  Shanna, my downline, already has hers made, my bad!
Anyhoo, just to show you that Decor Elements are not just for walls .....

Buzz Lightyear Punch Image card share

Ok, I can share this now because yesterday we had our Grandson James' 3rd birthday party and we gave him this card along with his gift.  His party theme was Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story (1, 2 and 3 of course).  So I knew I had to do something Toy Story related.  I searched for a Buzz Lightyear and / or Woody punch image and was so lucky to come across THIS post for Buzz and THIS post for Woody.  Buzz is by the very talented Ellen Kemper of Blinkin' Thinkin' and Inkin' and Woody is by Sheila White a Guest Puncher on Ellen's blog.  Thank you both, ladies, for making James' birthday card one to remember.  I used the Buzz punch image and created my own card for him.  I have not done Woody yet, but he is on my to do list.  Here is my card for you ......

I have another card hanging on my "wall of fame" that uses the spaceship image from Pun Fun and every time James sees it he says "That's Buzz Lightyear's Spaceship" so I knew my card had to have that image on it.  This card was so much fun to do.  I was smart and made 2 Buzz images as I knew I was giving this one away.  Now I can re-create it and we can do a Monthly Punch Class on him and Woody when I get Woody done.
Thanks for visiting, visit Ellen's blog, she is a very talented Punch Artist!

Metal Sheets - Fun Flowers Card

Recently I purchased some metal sheets in some lovely colours.  Tonight I got the chance to open the package and use one of the Barn Red sheets.  Oh my it is so lovely.  I loosely followed THIS tutorial and blog post by Monica Weaver.  Monica shares lots of free tutorials and ideas for using these sheets, and she sells them as well!
Here is my creation ..............
Don't you just love it when a card comes together quickly and effortlessly?  This was one of those.
Here is a closer view of the metal sheet flower .....
The flower is made using the Fun Flowers Die and Barn Red Metal Sheets, then there is an Antique Brad in the middle.
Stamp:  A Word For You

Owl Punchies - Betty Baker

Hey there, everyone!  I created this cute little Baker Owl Punchie by following Kay Sha's awesome instructions.  I just discovered Kay's blog called Creations On Paper, and boy does she have some cute punchie images!  I see more casing in my future.  Thanks Kay!!!!
Anyways, here is my Betty Baker owl punchie .....
I won't re-do the instructions because Kay has such awesome ones, and lots of pictures so its easy to follow along.
Now I have to create a birthday card for our Grandson, James, who will be turning 3 next week.  What is his favourite thing in the world right now?  Well he has 2 - the "Cars" movies and the "Toy Story" movies.  Thanks to Ellen Kemper I have a Buzz Lightyear punch image to create!  I'll share it with you when it is done.
Bye for now and Happy Stampin' ...............

Owl Punchie - Wanda Witch

Here is the Witch punch image I had on my blog yesterday, then I discovered I cased it from Jayne Stenstrom.  I just love this one, but then I love all of them, LOL .....

Between the 2 Step Owl Punch and the 2 Step Bird Punch, I think you can create just about any image imaginable.  Now we have the Blossom Petal Punch and it just opens the door even wider.
Check back tomorrow I will have a "Baker" owl punch image for you.
Happy Stampin' .................                     .

Owl Punchies - Hallowe'en-ies

Today I have some more really cute punched images made out of the Stampin' Up! 2 Step Owl Punch.  This time there are 3 in a Hallowe'en series.  I found these cuties at Cristena Bagne's website (sorry can't find the exact post but there is a link to her website - the original post was somewhere around Sept 8/2010).  I did not make the cute box she had her's in, I just made the images.  Here they are ...
First Frankenstein ~ ~ ~ ~
and here is the Bat  ~ ~ ~ ~

and finally the ghost ~ ~ ~ ~
So darned cute, don't you think?  Thanks, Cristena, for the awesome Owl Punchies.  Thanks for popping by, I hope you get some stamping done today!

EDIT:  I edited the original post and removed the Witch owl punchie and inserted the Bat punchie as the Witch was from a different stamper.  I will show you the Witch tomorrow.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Raggedy Ann and Andy Punchies

I was visiting Kim Score`s blog Paper Punch Addiction and saw her oh so cute Raggedy Andy (follow the link to her post).  I just had to drop everything, including my plans to create more Owl Punchies, and whip up Andy.  Well, let me tell you, he was so cute I needed to make Raggedy Ann as well.  I looked at Kim`s punched images HERE and HERE and decided I wanted to make Ann more like Andy.  So I created my own.  Here`s my Raggedy Andy using Kim`s instructions ....

Isn`t he adorable.  Then I took him, and a picture of Raggedy Ann I found on the internet and created this ....

And here they are as a couple ....

Here is a picture of the instructions for Raggedy Ann for you .....

I will be doing these in an upcoming Monthly Punchie Class if you want to join us!
Thanks for visiting, Happy Stampin` .........

Easter Blossoms Card

In the middle of a horrendous rain storm I was able to create a springy card today.  It rained so hard today it was like lions and wolves coming down instead of cats and dogs.  I am warm and dry in our trailer and had a most enjoyable day.  DH and I went out for breakfast to Lund to a place called Nancy's Cafe.  Oh my, they have the most awesomest (I know not a word but they truly are) sticky buns there.  We did not have them for breakfast, but brought some home to eat another time.  DH is out on the water today teaching a course and it is the day they do a night run.  I bet he is having an adventure out there.  Good thing it is a cabin boat and they will be warm and dry.
I created a card with the Stampin' Up! set Easter Blossoms available only until April 30th in the Occasions Mini Catalogue (page 17)......

I stamped the branch image in Soft Suede around the left hand side and the top of the card.  Then I stamped the little girl image in Bravo Burgundy on Whisper White cardstock and cut her out with nestabilities.  I wanted to use my Ovals and Scallop Ovals dies with my Big Shot, but I forgot to bring them with me.  Then I sponged on some Pink Pirouette ink around the stamped image.  After the ink was good and dry, I attached the oval to a scallop oval also cut out with nesties, then spritzed them with Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz to add some bling.  Here is an upclose picture of the bling ...

Ah, love that glimmer.  A bow tied in Pretty In Pink satin ribbon is wrapped around the 3 layers.  I stamped Happy Easter in Bravo Burgundy ink on the bottom right hand corner.  I hope you get a chance to do some stamping today.  I feel a day without stamping, is like a day without sunshine, only a LOT better!!!
Stamps:  Easter Blossom
Ink:  Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette
Markers:  Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose
Other:  Nestabilities, Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon, Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz, dimensionals

Punches:  2 Step Owl, 2 Step Bird, 1" Circle, Small Oval
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point

Flip Over Calendar - CASEd

I was lucky enough to be the recipient of one of Barb Tripp's Flip Over Calendar at Stampin' Up!s recent Vancouver Regional Seminar. It is awesome, thanks Barb!
EDIT:  Barb got it from Susan Easter (part of our Vancouver Island Demo Group) who got it from a friend in the USA.  Contact me if you are the originator and I will gladly give you credit!!
I CASEd it and made some minor changes and will give this to my workshop Hostesses this weekend.  Here are some pictures ......
This is the calendar standing ......
and from the side .....
and here it is open and lying flat ....
and the bottom stand part .....

It is quite ingenious, the stand part is attached on one side, and removeable from the other, when you want to change the calendar to the inside ones, just slip the removeable side out, flip the calendar over, and re-insert the stand.  Voila!
Here is the Winter page ....

and closer up of the ribbon and heart embellishment ...

And this is Spring ......

And the bird closer up, notice the rhinestone for the eye .....

And now for summer (Barb showed me how to make this flower, I love it) ....

I used Champagne Mist Shimmer Spritz on the flower, you can just see it here .....

And last but not least Fall ....

Of course the use of the Owl Punch was mandatory, don't you just love these little cuties ....

I made these calendars while away in our trailer so I had limited supplies.  I forgot to bring the Snowflake Die with me for the Winter page, and had to make do with a Valentine's theme instead.
UPDATE:  If you would like instructions and downloadable calendars, please see THIS post from Mon. Mar 7, 2011
Thanks again, Barb, for sharing your awesome creation, I hope I have done it justice.
