Sweet Pea Wishes

Here is the second punchie for my September Punchie Class. This one is by Sophia Landry at Andrea Walford's site. I wanted the sweet pea punchie to be the main focus of this card, so I did not use any designer paper and kept the background real quiet. I used the Swirl die and cut it and put it behind the Sweet Pea.
Here's what I used:

Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Basic Black, Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Other: Swirls die, Designer Label punch, My Way punch, Sweet Pea punchie

Sophia has lots of awesome punchie ideas, hop on over to their blog and check them out!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I will post again when I return from my Scrapbooking Adventure......................... Glenda Mollet

It's A Girl Baby in a Buggy

Tonight is my Punchie Club night. This month we are doing Baby In A Buggy and Sweet Pea. Today I am posting the Baby one, tomorrow I will post the Sweet Pea one. Then I am away at a Scrapbooking Adventure all weekend.
This is one of Heather Summers punchies. I used:

Stamps: Matchbox Messages
Ink: Pretty In Pink
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pretty In Pink, Going Gray, Brushed Silver, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue, Pawsitively Prints DSP
Other: Dimensionals, Snowflake Punch, 1" circle punch, Baby In Buggy and Diaper Pin punchies

I also ran the hood of the buggy through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with little tiny hearts on it to add a bit of dimension to the punchie. Heather Summers has fantastic punchies, visit her blog and check it out.
Thanks for looking......... Glenda Mollet

IBC Case

I cased this card from page 139 of the current Idea Book and Catalogue. The only thing I did different was the sentiment on the oval in the front. Its a really fun card to make and quite effective.

Supplies:
Stamps: Oval All
Ink: (Markers) Old Olive Rich Razzleberry
Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive cardstock, Cottage Wall DSP
Other: Scallop Edge, Spiral, Scallop Oval, Wide Oval and Large Oval punches, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, dimensionals
I really like the effect of using the Spiral punch along the folded edge of the card. It took a bit of effort, however, to punch through two layers of cardstock.
Have a super duper day........ Glenda Mollet

Ornament Fish Card

It is my SIL's birthday this week. Sometimes we create cards together. Yesterday I told her I was going to make a Dusty Durango card, well it ended up being Rich Razzleberry! Go figure. So today I created her birthday card - Dusty Durango of course. We also joke about sometimes making our cards up-side-down so they open wrong. So of course this one opens from the top down. HAHA I hope she enjoys it. I used the new ornament punch to make the fabulous fish. They are punched out of the retired Autumn Vine DSP which almost matches Dusty Durango! I stamped the background "seaweed" in Bermuda Bay using the Inspired By Nature grass. Then I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay the same size as the Whisper White and hand cut out some seaweed as well. It floats around the fish. Kinda cute isn't it? She will truly appreciate this card as she is an avid card maker and card saver too.
Recipe:
Stamps: Inspired By Nature
Ink: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay
Paper: Dusty Durango, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White CS, Autumn Vine (retired)DSP
Other: Ornament Punch, dimensionals

Well, that's it for another day of creating. Today I only managed to create this one card as the weather is fabulous in Tofino and I spent most of the day walking on the beaches here. (I am writing this on Sunday, and scheduling it for Tuesday). The sun was shining, there was no wind, the waves were phenomenal and life could not get much better. Tomorrow I head home for a few days, I need a Grandson fix!!!
I hope you all have a super day, enjoy life to the max......... Glenda Mollet ;-()

Bashful Blue Wings of Friendship

A gorgeous sunny day in Tofino today (its Saturday and I am scheduling this to post on Monday) and I felt like making a summery card after the fall and Christmas ones I did yesterday. This card uses Wings of Friendship, a Level 2 Hostess Set. I love the images in this set as well. This is a quick and easy card with few layers on it.
Supplies:
Stamps: Wings of Friendship
Ink: VersaMark,
Paper: Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Whisper White and Old Olive cardstock
Other: Markers - Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Basic Black; Certainly Celery GG Ribbon (SAB 2009) and dimensionals
After stamping the main image, I stamped the flowers again using Regal Rose and cut them out and popped them up on Dimensionals. Then I daubed Frost White Shimmer Paint over them. This card uses no designer paper, strange as I have been using a lot of that lately.

Have a great day........... Glenda Mollet

Soft Suede Pinecone Christmas Card

I saw this card on Lee Conrey's blog and fell in love with it immediately. This is the card that convinced me that I needed to get this stamp set. Thanks Lee!!!! The ribbon is dyed with Soft Suede ink pad using a sponge. The circle were cut using nestabilities (only because I do not have my circle cutter with me in our trailer this time). Then for the top layer with the image on it, I first daubed Frost White Shimmer Paint, then I stamped the image in Soft Suede. I love how the shimmer looks on this card.
Supplies:
Stamp: Autumn Days
Ink: Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock
Other: Nestabilites, Whisper White Organza ribbon
A very quick and beautiful card.

Thanks for looking, and go check out Lee Conrey's blog, she is very creative and inspirational.

Soft Suede Autumn Days

I was not going to get this set, but then I decided that I really NEEDED it after all. Last night I created this card with a definite fall feeling. It was pouring rain at the time. Today it was all sunshine and a truly fine day at the beach.
Supplies:
Stamps: Autumn Days
Paper: Autumn Traditions DSP, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Soft Suede
Other: Key Tag punch, Horizontal Slot punch, Soft Suede Polka Dot GG Ribbon
The soft suede card is sponged with soft suede ink around the outside, on hind sight I think I should have also sponged the DSP layer a bit around the edges. I stamped the pheasant first, then masked it and stamped the background images. Then I sponged some "dirt" on the bottom to anchor the whole thing with some soft suede ink.
Such a fun stamp set, and I truly love all the images.

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit my blog. I appreciate it.

These cards are so much fun to make. They are flat, except for the ribbon knots, so are great for mailing. All card fronts are mounted on Very Vanilla cardstock.

Tie Bow Tutorial

I had numerous emails requesting information on how I made the bow on my cards from THIS post. So here goes, its my first tutorial, so be kind please..................

First I put one or two layers of ribbon around my card (I used the slot punch to form the holes to thread the ribbon through) and adhered it on the back =====>>>

Then I cut a length of ribbon and folded it in half making a loop like this ====>

Next you slip it under one or both of the ribbons already attached to the card ====>

Next you pull the tails down over the ribbon and slip them through the loop ===>
And pull them down tight ======>

Make sure you pull it good and tight, this step may take some playing on your part to make the bow look the way you would like it, some ribbons are stiffer than others ======>

Once you get it to look the way you want, slip a glue dot (I have one on the end of my scissors in this picture) under the top loop to secure it ====>

This is what it looks like when it is finished ====>
I hope this helps and you are able to see how I did this "Tie Bow".
Thanks for your interest..................... Glenda Mollet
